Trust Beyond

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” – (Mark 10:27, NIV)

Jesus looked at them and said, “That is something people cannot do, but God can. He can do anything.” – (Mark 10:27, ERV)

Jesus was blunt: “No chance at all if you think you can pull it off by yourself. Every chance in the world if you let God do it.” – (Mark 10:27, MSG)

Our God is the God of possibilities. Though things may be impossible for us on our own, with God, anything is possible. The Creator of the universe and of each one of us, is not limited by human understanding. He sees far beyond what we can see, and He knows the outcome before things have even begun. The longer we follow Jesus, the more we grow to understand that all things are possible with Him. His thought are higher than our thoughts, and His ways are far beyond what we can imagine with our own limitations. God sees and knows what is possible when we trust in Him and makes a way where there seems to be no way. May we ever seek Him with a child-like faith, trusting Him, not what we can see or imagine.

The impossible,

Our reality;

When we look beyond,

What our eyes can see.

For God’s perfect plans,

Surpass our own reach;

Only possible,

Through the One we seek.

In Him there is more,

His strength limitless;

He makes mountains smooth,

His love is endless.

Lord, help us to trust,

For in You, there’s more;

As You see beyond,

And open new doors.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that Your ways are higher than ours, and Your thoughts – beyond what we could begin to imagine. Thank You that nothing is impossible with You. Forgive us for our uncertainty and fears, for we only see in part all that truly could be. Teach us to trust You boldly, so that we walk forward in faith into all that You are leading us into. Show us how to love and encourage those around us in ways that spur on hope and trust in You for all that lies ahead. May many come into a lasting relationship with You. Be glorified O God, as we seek You to grow our trust and teach us to look beyond what we can see. Amen.

God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; He does great things beyond our understanding. – Job 37:5

Made Possible

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” – (Mark 10:27, NIV)

Jesus looked at them and said, “That is something people cannot do, but God can. He can do anything.” – (Mark 10:27, ERV)

I am so grateful to God, as there are many impossibilities that He makes possible, regularly. Today is no exception. For whatever reason, I struggled to sleep after our final regular season gymnastics meet last night. I tossed and turned and found myself with eyes open, seemingly as often as they were closed. That being said, I know that somehow, He will grant me all that I need to navigate this day. For one, it is an early release day, so I am granted a bit of reprieve as far as hours of formal instruction go today. It is somehow less daunting knowing that classes are 45 minutes each, rather than sixty. Additionally, the professional learning community that I am a part of is a fantastic group of colleagues, whom I call friends, and it is never a burden to spend time planning together, tired or not. Beyond that, practice this afternoon was cancelled to give the girls time to rest and catch up on homework, which will provide the same opportunity for me. A day that might have been a bit overwhelming, has been made manageable by His grace, already. He is good, and I know He will grant me what I need to navigate whatever comes my way, and I am giving Him praise for His faithful ways. May we look to the Lord in faith, trusting that He can do exceedingly more than we could ever hope or imagine, as we trust in Him.

The God of all grace, Made Possible

Makes all things that seem;

So impossible,

A reachable dream.

He moves in His strength,

Grants us what we lack;

Floods us with His love,

He does not hold back.

Choose trust in the Lord,

No matter what’s seen;

For God can do more,

Each need He’s foreseen.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that You are the One who makes all things possible in You. What seems impossible to us in our own strength, is achievable in You. Forgive us for our fears and doubts when we rely on only what we can see. Teach us to trust You, for You move far beyond what we can observe with our eyes. Show us how to love those around us in ways that strengthen and extend grace, granting hope for impossibilities to be made possible in You. May many come into a lasting relationship with You. Be glorified O God, as we trust in You and all that You provide to help us navigate all that we are called to do. Amen.

In You, Lord my God, I put my trust. – Psalm 25:1

Trust to Make All Possible

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” – (Mark 10:27, NIV)

Jesus looked at them and said, “That is something people cannot do, but God can. He can do anything.” – (Mark 10:27, ERV)

Jesus looked at them and replied, “With people it is impossible, but not with God – God makes all things possible!” – (Mark 10:27, TPT)

Impossible is our understood limit to the human capacity. However, God’s view is far different. In Him, all things become possible. God is able to do exceedingly more than we could ever hope or imagine.  When doubt or fear find way into our hearts, we must remember who holds us in the palm of His hands. May we ever seek the Lord and His strength, trusting that He is far greater than anything that would attempt to come against us or challenge the truth of who we are.

When there is no way, Faith for Forever

It’s not so with God;

He’ll show us there’s more,

Our doubts, they are flawed.

For what seems too much,

Is simple to Him;

Creator of all,

His grace always wins.

Peace in our struggles,

Strength when ours is gone;

Brawn in the battle,

Hope to carry on.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that nothing is impossible with You. Thank You that You will always equip us for the things that You call us to do. Forgive us for relying on our own strength, or for seeing only the obstacles rather than You, our solution. Show us how to strengthen and encourage the faith of those around us through Your love. May many come into a lasting relationship with You. Be glorified O God, as we trust You to make the seeming impossible, possible. Amen.

Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” – Luke 18:27

He Looks At Us

When people came to Jesus and earnestly sought Him for answers or for healing, He took the time to truly listen and love each who came before Him as they came.  For those who were prepared, He healed.  For those whom were still searching, He provided further food for thought.

Jesus looked at him and loved him… – (Mark 10:21) This was Jesus’ response to a rich young man who had come to ask how to inherit eternal life, yet was not yet prepared to act on that which Jesus had asked of him.

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God; all things are possible with God.” – (Mark 10:27)  The disciples were perplexed at the seeming complexity it required to enter the kingdom of heaven.  Jesus let them know that it really had nothing to do with their own ability, but rather, everything to do with the power of God, present within them.

We too need to remember that the seemingly impossible is only possible through the power of God that is present within us.  Whatever is asked of us will be made possible as we seek our Savior.  Each time we seek Him, He stops and looks at us and loves us.  He is never too busy, nor bothered by our requests.  He hears and knows what we need, and is our source and supply, even if things do not appear in the way we might have hoped or imagined.  May we seek Him, and trust that He is looking upon us in love, ready to move on our behalf.

He looks upon us,External Appearance

with love in His eyes;

no matter our stance,

hope, fear or disguise.

The impossible,

is made doable;

for Christ within us,

makes our supply full.

Always there’s enough,

when we trust in Him;

He hears and He knows,

gives strength to begin.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that You see us and love us, no matter what state we are in.  Thank You that nothing is impossible with You.  Forgive us for our lack of faith, and our attempting to do things in our own strength.  Teach us to trust You more, so that we will seek You and depend on You in all things and at all times.  Lead us to truly look at those around us, so that we might love as You love.  May many come into a lasting relationship with You.  Be glorified O God, as we trust in You to make the impossible, possible.  Amen.

Making the Impossible Possible

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible.” – (Mark 10:27)

Though Jesus was speaking to His disciples in regard to a rich man entering the kingdom of God, this applies to all that He asks us to do. For whatever He calls us, He also equips and empowers us, despite the seeming impossibility that lies before us. On our own, we are ill-equipped for the road He asks us to travel. Even when we are called to operate in an area of our strength, there always seems to be an element of impossibility or difficulty so that we must rely on the Lord and His wisdom and strength, to effectively complete what He has asked us to do. May we go forth trusting in Him to make the seemingly impossible, possible, where He has called us to go.

So often we’re called,Making the Impossible Possible

to rise to a task;

much larger than us,

yet the Lord has asked.

Where there seems no way,

in Christ we can do;

far more than we think,

for His word is true.

When He calls us forth,

He’ll too, make a way;

for us to rise up,

by faith, we obey.

Impossible things,

no longer are so;

rather, steps of faith,

to help us to grow.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that though much is impossible on our own, with You, all things are possible. Thank You that what You call us to do, You also equip and empower us to accomplish. Thank You that You never leave us nor forsake us, but You remain present, wherever we are. Forgive us for our fear and hesitation when the road before us seems impossible, and teach us to trust You more so that we might see the obstacles through Your eyes. Lead us to love others with Your love that knows no limits, and help many to discover a personal relationship with You as a result. Be glorified O God, as we rise up and trust You to make the impossible, possible. Amen.

The joy of the Lord is your strength. – Nehemiah 8:10

Promises to Pass On

Mark 10:17-31, reveals the story of an exchange between a rich young man and Jesus.  The young man, who had amassed great wealth, came to Jesus and asked what he could do to inherit eternal life.  Jesus, despite how the man had appropriately addressed Him, saw past the list of laws he claimed to have upheld, and recognized the root of pride held in his heart.  “Jesus looked at him and loved him.” – (Mark 10:21a)  In His great love, Jesus told him truthfully, what it would cost for the young man to follow Him.

Jesus does not ask all of us to sell everything we own, nor are we often expected to give it all away.  However, He does ask that we place Him above all else.  He saw that wealth was in the highest position of honor in the young man’s life, so He directly exposed its root.  Our eternal security is not something that we can earn, but rather a gift that is freely given, if only we are willing to believe and receive in faith.  As we trust Him, He directs our heart in the ways we are meant to go, and keeps our path straight.  When we are submitted to our Savior, we will hear what He is asking of us along the way.  We are not promised wealth, nor security, nor a cushy bank account; but we are promised hope, faith, love, and a peace that surpasses all understanding, as we have His Spirit with us to navigate this adventure of a life.

‘Tis not to be earned,Promises to Pass On

this glorious gift;

our treasure to hold,

all praises we lift.

Forever our hope,

is founded in Christ;

not temporal things,

though they can be nice.

For Jesus alone,

is our only Source;

redeeming Savior,

our holy true course.

As we fix our eyes,

our hearts and our minds;

true treasure is found,

the eternal kind.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that You look upon us with love, regardless of where we are in the process of moving closer to You.  Thank You that You lovingly show us the way we are meant to go, and that You redirect us when we get off course.  Forgive us for not fully submitting all that we are and all that we have, unto You.  Teach us to trust You completely, as You alone are our true Source.  May we recognize all that we have and all that we are is a gift from You that is meant to be shared.  Help us to hear You well, so that we love as You call us to love.  May many come to know the eternal hope that is held in You alone, as we live in the love You have so generously poured upon us.  Be glorified, our great and mighty God.  Amen.
