The Voice that Matters

Compare not ourselves

to women and men;

that’s lack of wisdom,

inhibiting Him.

Make no claims for self,

but rather for God.

When praises resound,

give Him every nod.

Boast not on our own,

but of what He’s done,

may hungry hearts hear;

new allegiances won.

As hope and faith grow,

may boldness expand,

so we share His love,

far beyond this land.

Let that which matters,

the voice that rings true,

be of God the Father,

and His heart for you.

(Responding to 2 Corinthians 10:12-17)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that You created each one of us unique with a specific and individual plan and purpose, designed to be filled by us alone.  Forgive us for comparing ourselves to one another, as it leaves us thinking too little or too much of self, rather than recognizing that all that we are and all that we do, is because of You.  As we grow in hope and faith, may we be bold in generously sharing the lavish love You have given to us, both at home and beyond our borders.  May many come to know Your heart for them, and may the only voice that matters to our hearts, be Yours.  Amen.
