“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Each of us has been given gifts from God. When we utilize these gifts, if our focus is on that which our Heavenly Father is asking of us, God’s goodness will be made evident and all glory will go to Him.
In order to honor Him with our gifts, we must know His will and walk in His way. This is only possible if we are invested in our Instructor. He is happy to guide our hearts, yet we must listen to actually hear Him. When we spend time in His word, we don’t have to wonder whether or not we know His will. His Holy Spirit speaks to our heart and mind, and writes the message on our soul. All we need to ask ourselves is: Does it line up with His instruction? Does it draw others unto Him?
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.” – Philippians 4:8
The gifts He gives are good, and He will guide us in grace to use them for His glory.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that You give each of us good gifts. Teach us to utilize every gift given, for Your glory. May Your guiding light burn brightly through each of us as we give of ourselves for You. All glory and honor, power and praise to You, now and forever. Amen.
