“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:6
God always finishes what He has started. We, who are in Him, are a work in progress. We are under construction from the day we invite Him to be Lord of our life, to the day our life on earth comes to an end. He is transforming us more and more into His likeness, as we allow Him access to all. Our “arrival” will not come until we at last meet Him face to face.
God’s work in us is not dependent on how we feel. When we feel lowly and unworthy, we are to remember that we are a work in progress. Likewise, if we feel like we are following well, we must remember that there is always work to be done. He is ever redeeming and refining so that we may more clearly reflect our Redeemer.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that You are not finished with us yet. Teach us to be willing to allow You access to all, so that which distorts Your reflection might be destroyed, and that which hints to the whole of who You are, might be strengthened and polished so that each day we walk with You, You might be seen a bit more clearly. Let our very life be a sweet song unto You that leads the lost to listen and lean toward You. Amen.
thank you Lord!
Amen! Beautiful, absolutely beautiful! So true what you said, “He is ever redeeming and refining so that we may more clearly reflect our Redeemer.”
I am so glad that He is not finished with me yet! 🙂
Have a blessed week, Liz!

Amen! Thank God for His continual work in us!
