Everything Established by Him

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world and all who live in it; for He founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.” – Psalm 24:1-2

The earth and everything and everyone in it, has been formed and established by God.  All belong to Him, the Creator, and ought to be cared for accordingly.

“For we are His handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10

He has a plan and a purpose for each of us, His created.  We are His people, and are called to care for His kingdom.  Though each of us has been created with different strengths and giftings, the ultimate purpose for each of us is the same.  We are called to love God and love people.  All that we say and do should be a reflection of our calling.  If we sing, let it be a song unto Him that encourages His people.  If we teach, let our lessons be laden with love.  If we build, let all be built upon His firm foundation, deeply rooted in His remarkable redemption.  If we create, let it be filled with evidence that cries out of Christ’s loving kindness and mercy for all men (and women).

Heavenly Father, thank You that You have created and established each of us with a purpose in this place.  Lord please lead us so that we may learn how to love You and love people with our whole hearts, as we pursue the path on which You have placed us.  May we be ever aware of Your presence and Your purposes in each of our lives.  Thank You that Your plan provides us with a hope and a future.  Thank You that as we surrender ourselves to You, You accept our offering and allow us to extend our hands and hearts on Your behalf.  Let our lives be lived in love and aligned with Your leading.  Amen.
