Grace As We Gather

“For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.” – Matthew 18:20

“In the Huddle” by Kristye Addison Dudley

He promises to be present when we gather in His name.  This verse speaks volumes as to His intent for us to fellowship with other believers in His name.  He alone is worthy of our worship, and there is little quite as sweet as knowing His tangible presence in the company of others.  He does not intend for us to be independent warriors on some sort of quest to conquer life’s struggles solo.  He provides people, so that none of us has to go forward in our faith alone, and makes way for the unseen to become tangible through the hands and heart of those who follow Him.

Gathering with fellow friends in the faith, does much to encourage and grow our relationship with the Redeemer.  As we meet in His name, we demonstrate His grace, share gifts that He has given, fend off fear, encourage each other, and provide accountability to walk forward in His good and perfect will.

It is not good for any of us to always be alone.  In His goodness and grace, He gifts us with His created.  His power is present when we gather in His name.  He moves mountains in our hearts, minds, and very lives when we together, ask Him to do so.

He hears and honors the prayers of His people, and provides His presence as we come together in Him.

My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude for the gifts and grace that He has provided as I have been intentional to join together with others in His name.

My prayer is that He will teach me to be ever present in this place, and to recognize the redemption that He provides in the place of His presence as I come together with others in His wonderful Name.
