Bent over and bound

for eighteen long years,

crippled by spirit,

forced low by fears.

Synagogue on Sabbath;

Why was she there?

Hoping for help?

Offering prayer?

Regardless of reason,

her moment begun.

Jesus, He saw her,

and told her to “come.”

She made her way forward,

likely painfully so,

then He laid on His hands,

and told infirmity to GO.

In that very instant,

her body was healed,

indignant the rulers,

as Christ was revealed.

They argued for rest,

though they, even they,

would unbind their livestock,

to water on this day.

Jesus replied,

“If the donkey, why not she?”

“For what Satan has bound,

I am now setting free.”

(response to Luke 13:10-17)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for yet another great example and reminder of how and when You heal is in Your time, not ours. You are not limited by our understanding, nor do You even need for us to come before You in a certain way. Thank You that regardless of the timing or the circumstance, You are our Healer. Lord Jesus, we continue to stand in faith, asking, trusting and believing for Your perfect and complete healing to happen for those for which we are asking. (I personally am lifting up Anne, Cara of This Little Light, Unshakable Hope, Martha of In Love With the Lord, and many others, for whom I cannot recall the blog titles at the moment. Thank You Jesus, that You know! Please feel free to add your personal prayer requests in the comment section, so that we can stand in agreement together) Be our peace and our strength as we wait, and may powerful praise be ever present on our lips. May our heart that is ever being transformed by You, clearly reflect Your loving light to those lost in darkness. Amen
